Whys: Unlike Sarah Silverman, she is both hot and consistently funny. She proved with Strangers With Candy that she can do dark and/or controversial humor, instead of randomly screaming 'poop' and using bad words and calling it comedy. As far as the hot part, well she is not only a blonde-haired pixie of a woman (which, as you should already know, is quite a weakness of mine), but she has some terrific legs and constantly wears these very cute dresses that show them off. She gets major bonus points for her friendship with Stephen Colbert.

I came so close to buying her hospitality book. That is saying something, seeing as how I actively discourage visitors. I really do, I have this anti-visit vibe, and it helps I live quite out of the alcohol-cruise radius of most of my friends. Point is, the little vixen has me wanting to entertain guests, and that is not easy.
Why Nots: Her imaginary boyfriend, Ricky. I hear he is pretty tough, especially now that he is a ghost. Plus, I don't know if I am funny enough to be affiliated with a Sedaris. Plus, how would my other quirky crushes feel?

I too, have a great deal of affection for the members of the Sedaris family. I listened to her book on audiobook, and although abridged, it was HILARIOUS. People couldn't understand why I was 'crying' with my head on the desk at work (I was actually laughing so hard, my sides were literally hurting). I highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Sarah Silverman is a racist idiot.
I know college guys save their extra cash for beer, so do yourself a favor and borrow "I Like You, Hospitality Under the Influence", from your local library. You will thank me later--trust.
