RPG Person Profile

I'm currently running (at home):

Nothing homebound, but I am running D&D Encounters at my local gaming store, and helping my niece with her campaign while she's in college.

Tabletop RPGs I'm currently playing (at home) include:

D&D 5e, Numenera, Star Wars Edge of the Empire, and the occasional pickup game of Doublecrossroads D&D/Feng Shui.

I'm currently running (online):

Nothing, but did try a couple of Fate PBPs. Might restart that.

Tabletop RPGs I'm currently playing (online) include:

Nothing now. Recently saw a Atomic Robo RPG game end due to lack of progress.

I would especially like to play/run:

FATE (esp. Jadepunk or Mass Effect), D&D, Dragon Age, Mutants and Masterminds.

...but would also try:

Double Cross, Anima Prime, Wu Xing: The Ninja Crusade, Savage Worlds, Shadowrun.

I live in:

Atlanta, Ga.

2 or 3 well-known RPG products other people made that I like:

FATE, D&D 5e, Mutants and Masterminds

2 or 3 novels I like:

Thud! by Terry Pratchett
Empire State by Adam Christopher
Operation Chaos by Poul Anderson

2 or 3 movies I like:

The Raid
Clue

Best place to find me on-line:

Facebook, mostly. Sometimes here or Twitter.

I will read almost anything on tabletop RPGs if it's:

Robots. Not even giant ones, any robot will do. Also, anything that tries to step out of typical Western images of "fantasy" or "sci-fi". Anything that tries to be mature and about something, especially if it is about fun.

I really do not want to hear about:

GRIMDARK (or any other attempts to be "mature" without any actual maturity). Edition wars, "type" wars, really anything that involves drama that can be basically reduced to "I spent XX years and XXX dollars on a hobby, which mean I get to tell you what to do or who to be". Nothing that is exclusionary, or uses the game to have people be dillholes to each other. Nothing that prevents newcomers from enjoying themselves and finding the game for them.

I think dead orc babies are ( circle one: funny / problematic / ....well, ok, it's complicated because....)

Depends on how you view and run alignments and morality in your game. If you want respect for all life to be a part of the game, I am down for it. If it isn't a big deal or important, then punt those bad boys for some yardage.

I talk about RPGs on Twitter (VERY rarely) under the name @VermillionBrain

I talk about RPGs on most sites under the name Vermillion or my Blogger handle.
