Today is made of epic FAIL.

- Remember when I mentioned my cool music class assignment? The one about having to write a short story to the tune of Beethoven's 5th Symphony, First Movement. Well, I crapped out on that one. Severely. Total brain freeze. I just couldn't come up with anything. I even went on YouTube to see how other folks did it, and it just made me more depressed.

By the way, if you even have to do the same, never, ever watch this. It just highlights your lack of talent even more.:

- I also have a nice head start on failing every single on of my final exams. Not to worry, though. It isn't like I had much hope of passing anyway.

- By the way, totally missed the deadline on that script contest. Not word one written on any of the projects I set out to do, mostly because I can't develop structure to save my life. Having an active imagination is fun until you actually need to work.

I am not seeing much point to anything today, really. I am just glad I took the week off work, otherwise this gaping black hole of loserdom would follow me there as well. I think I am going to just crawl up in a ball and hope a "D" is the worst I get. I know it will probably be the best.

But hey, at least I got to see Iron Man. Twice even. That has to count for something, right?

1 brain pickings:

  1. Ditto, my friend. I too, have seen Iron Man twice. And am considering a third.

Don't worry bout the school, Vermillion...seriously. The more you worry about it, the more the self-pressure builds and dams up that font of creativity and intellect inherent in the talented muse within us. And we don't need taht self-pressure, the world is perfectly content to lay it on as much as it pleases.

Strive for the win, chalk up the losses and learn from them, and move on. Don't focus on the negativity in life, or it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I have faith in you, my friend. You're easily gonna surpass us all. It will come.
