I use something similar to this (using headtracking and also eye tracking if we're feeling fancy) at work on the odd occasion that I actually do some perception work... although we don't use it for anything as cool as in this video which is literally the most awesome use for headtracking ever.
Oh and we take apart wireless laser mice instead. I did suggest using a wii controller but it's too big apparently :(
I don't even know what to say to this level of geekiness. It took me about a month to figure out how to access all the show episodes that my boyfriend stored on the external hard drive through the Xbox. Just typing that confuses me!
