Trivia Thursday

Once again, it's time to feel dumb! It's Trivia Thursday!

Seeing as how no one seemed to care about the illustrious history of this blog (I mean, it is right there to the right, just click! COME ON!), I am back with more difficult questions that only TK seems able to answer effectively.

Here we go!

1) Quote: "I would not fear a pack of lions led by a sheep, but I would always fear a flock of sheep led by a lion." Who said it?

2) What famous award owes its creation to a gaffe on a obituary?

3) True or False: Mark Twain had several affairs during his marriage.

4) What famous composer was inspired by his cat walking across his piano?

5) What contemporary of Shakespeare died in a knife fight before his 30th birthday?

3 brain pickings:

  1. Eeee! I actually know a couple of answers this week.

    1) No clue

    2) damn it, I should probably know this one.

    3) Erm.... false?

    4) Scarlatti (I know this because it is the name of my Uncle's cat)

    5) Marlowe - who was stabbed in the eye in a conspiracy "was it murder was it an accident" kind of deal.

  2. Looks like you win by default, Alex. Yay!

By the way, the answers were:

    1) Alexander the Great

    2) Nobel Prize

    3) False

    4) Frederick Chopin (at least, that was the one I was going for)

    5) Christopher Marlowe

  3. Woo, go me!

Apparently many composers were inspired by their cats. I'd never heard of Chopin being so but I do know that Scarlatti wrote the Cat's Fuge based on the noise of his cat walking across the keyboard.

    Aaaah I feel all triviaful!
