The day has come

I have reached my saturation point. I simply cannot take anymore, not if I want to keep my sanity.

I have overdosed....on bitchiness.

I can't work up any more bile. I can't hate even the most ridiculous subjects. I am I am taking a break from it all. Hopefully, I will return stronger and meaner than ever. Until then, I am only going to be here on my site, and only doing happy-go-lucky puppy-dog posts. So for those of you who have converted to existing on pure mean, you may want to get yours elsewhere.

But before I slip into the bright shiny madness, a quick thought:

Can we stop with nostalgia-fueled depression whenever a so-called "classic" gets remade? Let's be honest, 90% of the shows and movies we loved back in the day were just as bullshit as the ones that are popular now. The new Knight Rider series? It is going to be as crappy or as awesome as you make it, just like Team Knight Rider before it, and Knight Rider 2000 before that, and the original Knight Rider in all of its Hasselhoffian glory. Same thing with American Gladiators. It is just as cheesy and hilarious as the days of yore. Watching people get the taste smacked out their mouths is just as good now as it was in the '90s.

3 brain pickings:

  1. Oh, sure. You say you're quitting... but you'll be back. It's in your system now, boy. You'll never be able to give it up. You can try to stay away, but the next thing you know you're giving handjobs in bathroom stalls, all for a sweet taste of-

What are we talking about again?

  2. OD'd on bitchiness? Might I suggest, rather than quitting cold turkey, gradually withdrawing onto the lesser vices of snarkiness and knowitall-ism.

  3. I'll overnight you some of my hate, spite, and a pallet of ire. That should hold you over for about a year.
