Our Beloved Kat...in Pajamas

If this isn't feel-good and fluffy, I don't know what is.

By the way, for those of you not entranced by the music, you can watch it like I did the next 12 times: mute on, pants off, and excitement irrevocably mixed with shame. oh, such shame.

Combination Links/Trivia! Run in Terror!

You thought you were going to make it another week without suffering the brain-numbing effects of my Trivia Thursday, huh? Thought all you had to do was wait until I got to the weekend and you would be free for another seven days, eh?

You thought wrong.

As a reward for your lack of commenting (I thought we discussed my irrational need for validation and attention, people!) and as a way to work off the pent=up aggression that developed during my "swollen eye" period this week. By the way, I had a swollen eye that practically blinded me for most of the week, which explains the lack of daily posting. But apparently nobody wondered where I was. I blame LitelySalted. She has spoiled you with her long absences. Don't allow yourself to be bored, or worse, be driven to actually work during the day! Demand daily service! Demand waste of time! DEMAND BLOGGING!

Anyway, let us begin the torture!

1) What did Swedish scientist Carolus Linnaeus develop in the 18th century?

2) Besides a slang word for brain, what is an actual noggin?

3) What is the actual name of the so-called 'growth hormone'?

4) True or False: a gourmet can be considered an epicure.

5) In what well known book does one find the Witch of Endor?

6) What is the opposite of a monist?

7) From a mountain peak in the country, you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. What is it?

8) What famous holiday was created when the Gregorian calendar was adopted? And where did it originate?

9) Historically (as in not from any fantasy series), from where does a sorcerer's wand derive its power?

10) And just so I won't be too hard on you: What is an aglet?

Here are some links to rest your weary mind with:

As a computer science major and as one of the few who really hated these types of plotholes, this warmed my cold heart. (Cracked)

Adding insult to eye-based injury, I found out I probably missed Pierre Bernard at Dragon*Con by thismuch. I was actually there at the line, directing folks. I could have met his Rageship! (I Want To Eat A Nut Of Laerma!)

Anyone who honestly thought that the second she turned legal, she wouldn't realize she should trade up from the MTV pud, step forward to get your senses slapped back into you (Fatback & Collards)

More of possibly the only woman who might (MIGHT, dammit) convince me to leave Our Beloved Kat to TK's evil clutches, even though he IS married, and should stop trying to hog in on my crush action... (Popoholic)

Oh come on! Leave the girl alone! Or at least give me time to recover! I have fluids that need replenishing. (Celebitchy)

Whenever I hear a story like this, it is like God just goes all Tony Jaa on my lower horn. (HollywoodRag)

I tried to fight it. I really did. But the man pulled down a Star Destroyer. Here is the latest trailer for the game that will destroy me. (Popoholic)

A crime against nature has been committed. Someone must pay. (Celebitchy)

Extra little bonus: the only redeeming thing about Kevin Federline's musical 'career'.

More links...

Sorry about no trivia yesterday, had a bit of a long day and a foul mood. Next week, though, I will return to make you feel even dumber!

Dammit, Bale rules. Read a little snippet about him and his upcoming work.

Now that I have shamed myself for admitting I liked the first one, I must insist you watch the trailer for Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.

The second of three reasons I am tempted to go see Balls of Fury. Reason one: the guys behind The State and Reno 911!. Reason three: Terry Crews doing anything.

I knew that guy Scary Spice married was bad news. No guy in his right mind would cut off his new wife's lesbian hookups. Not a one.

Okay, I already knew that Anna Faris and Kat McPhee were in House Bunny together. But Our Beloved Kat is in it as well? Goodbye $6.50 and 90 minutes of my life, then. By the way, I almost have enough guts stored up to post a comment there.

For the Fellas (all 3 of them!) Links....

Note: It is quite sexist of me to assume these links would only interest males. So ladies, feel free to ogle over these as well.

Anna Faris is still yummy. (Fatback and Collards)

And so is Selma Blair. I can no longer watch Legally Blonde because the things I thought about her and Reese together would scare the fur off a cat. (JustJared)

I would so see that movie. Even if it had subtitles! (CityRag)

Beloved Kat Dennings with Emma Stone. Ignore the comments, for they are full of half-blind Commie pinko aliens that still live in their mom's basement. (Bastardly)

Now she has an obsession with fire who doesn't do well in hot climates and sleeps in hotpants. God is a cruel bastard, indeed. (Alex The Odd)

I read in the police blotter section of my local free paper that a guy found a note on his car that said "I'll be watching you - fucko." So, being the immature geek that I am, I immediately thought Kinky Kelly was loose again:

Hotties In My Book: Kat Dennings

First off: I felt the old title, "Who Am I Crushing On Now", insinuated that I was jumping from one woman to another, like they were temporary infatuations. Make no mistake, I still have intense feelings for all of them and more, feelings that would probably get me committed by some. This new title conveys my true intent: bringing attention to women that I want to have long-lasting romantic unions with. Oh and they are teh sexay also.

Moving on:

Whys: She is quite beautiful. She manages to stay down to earth and not end up like some of her peers. She seems to honestly enjoy acting instead of treating it like a paycheck. Plus THIS. This beautiful, wonderful stream of consciousness. And she has an attractive friend that she often gets into pillow fights with on camera. She does not support THE BLACK HOLE KNOWN AS MYSPACE. Plus, she likes manga and Burn Notice. She fully understands the wonder that is Jeffrey Donovan. How could I NOT like that?

Why Nots: I really can't think of any, aside from stalking laws. Hmmm.
